Alternate Mounting Instructions12

Step 1: Drill holes in the wall

• Use the mounting plate to mark the drilling

holes

a. Position the mounting plate on the wall

where you want to mount the uControl Link.

Make sure that the part of the mounting

plate that includes the screw holes is pressed

against the wall.

Attention: Before you mark the drilling

holes, make sure the mounting plate is close

enough to the alarm box so that the

connector extension cable can be plugged

into the uControl hub.

b. With a pencil, mark the location of the screw

holes.

Step 2: Screw the anchors into the wall

• Drill the holes and insert the anchors

a. Insert a 1/4-inch drill bit in your electric

drill.

b. Hold your drill at a 90-degree angle to

the to the wall and place the tip directly

on one of the pencil marks.

c. Drill a hole slowly through the drywall

directly on the pencil mark.

d. Repeat this action for the remaining

three pencil marks.

e. Insert the tips of the anchors into the pre-

drilled holes.

f. Use a Phillips-head screwdriver (or your

drill with a crosspoint bit) to screw the

anchors into the pre-drilled holes in the

wall.
